Hi, I'm Karen the Biscuitologist!

I have been baking for a long time, and have now decided to give myself the title of Biscuitologist! (Baker of, designer of and eater of all things biscuit) I also have a passion for making delicious desserts! (A few pics under the gallery)

So Scrumptious began in Pietermaritzburg in 2013 when I left the hustle and bustle of the corporate world to work independently and put my entreprenurial skills to the test. What initially started off as a lunch delivery service to the local office parks soon snowballed into catering for office parties, boardroom lunches, high teas and cocktail parties.

In 2014 we relocated to Durban. In this unfamiliar territory, my network of customers was too far away to sustain. So it was back to the drawing board and So Scrumptious Biscuits was born!

The objective was to create a selection of unambiguously home-made biscuits.

We currently supply a number of Spar, Checkers and independent stores in KwaZulu Natal. Our range includes Crunchies, Condensed Milk, Choc Chip, Date Squares, Biscottis, Lemon Vanilla, Peanut Butter and our recently launched Fruit & Muesli Rusks. See more on the Biscuits page. 

When not in my kitchen, I'm often walking my dog on the beach or occasionally playing with clay in my pottery studio.
